In the ever-evolving landscape of managed service providers (MSPs), the integration of artificial intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, and data analytics is not just a trend but a necessity. In this recent ConnectWise webinar, featuring industry experts Brett Cheloff, CEO of Zorus, and Larry Meador, Channel Chief of Infima, we highlighted the importance of harnessing these superpowers to stay ahead in the game. If you’d like to watch the on-demand recording, you can check it out here

Here are some of the key takeaways:

Industry origin stories: Brett Cheloff, an automation engineer turned CEO, shared his journey from the early days at a small MSP in Toledo to his pivotal role in the development of what is now known as Connectwise Automate. His transition to Zorus marks a significant step in growing a cybersecurity platform that promises to be a game-changer for MSPs.

Larry Meador, with a rich history in the channel spanning over two decades, brought insights from his time with CNET Content Solutions and his recent endeavors in cyber insurance and security awareness training. His current role as channel chief at Infima reflects his commitment to enhancing security measures for MSPs and their clients.

The intersection of AI and cybersecurity: The focus on the intersection of AI and cybersecurity at IT Nation Secure™ was a wake-up call for many. As MSPs have started to get a grip on cybersecurity tools and services, the introduction of AI into the mix has presented a new set of challenges and opportunities.

Data is at the heart of AI: A recurring theme throughout the webinar was the critical role of data in the successful implementation of AI. Clean, well-organized data is the foundation upon which AI can build and deliver meaningful results. MSPs must assess their readiness and that of their customers to embark on this journey.

QBRsA step towards data maturity: Quarterly business reviews (QBRs) emerged as a common practice among MSPs to begin shaping and using data effectively. These sessions provide a platform for MSPs to present valuable insights to their clients, reinforcing their position as trusted advisors.

The road ahead: As the MSP community continues to navigate the complexities of AI and cybersecurity, collaboration and knowledge-sharing will be key. The stage has been set for a future where MSPs not only protect their clients but also empower them with data-driven strategies for growth and success.
